An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $18- $25 / hour What You'll Be Doing as an
Electrician:
- Maintain safe and reliable electrical power to outlets, equipment, and facility systems
- Participate in on-the-job training to develop skills and maximize electrical system performance across all facilities
- electrical wiring plans for lighting, intercom, and other electrical systems
- Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, alarms, and related equipment
- Install safety and power distribution components including switches, resistors, and circuit breaker panels
- Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks while ensuring component compatibility
- Prepare, assemble, and install conduits and route wiring through conduit systems
- Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to prevent equipment breakdowns and operational disruptions
- Replace outdated wiring, insulated cables, and faulty electrical components as needed
- Clean, maintain, and service electrical circuits and systems
- Troubleshoot electrical issues to identify hazards, malfunctions, and root causes
- Repair or replace damaged electrical equipment and components to restore safe operation
- Follow all electrical safety standards, policies, and procedures
- Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned
Available Shifts:
Shift timings- 1st Shift (Day), 2nd Shift (Evening) and
Weekends Job Requirements:
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
- Ability to complete assigned tasks and other duties as required
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Electrician experience required, preferably in an industrial environment
- Thorough knowledge of electrical safety procedures, regulations, and industry guidelines
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent physical stamina with flexibility to work long shifts, including overnight schedules
- Proficient in the use of electrical and hand tools, including wire strippers, voltmeters, and related equipment
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
- Strong troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance skills for electrical systems and equipment
- Commitment to workplace safety and compliance standards
