Couture Electric is a growing electrical company in Southwest Florida specializing in high-quality residential work. We're looking for a dependable, skilled electrician to join our team. Position Overview The Electrician position at Couture Electric is responsible for performing electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services in residential and light commercial settings. Employees in this role are expected to perform all duties in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, including the National Electrical Code (NEC), Florida Building Code, and company standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in residential and light commercial settings Perform panel upgrades, service changes, circuit installations, and rewiring per NEC and local codes Install lighting, fans, switches, receptacles, GFCI/AFCI devices, and smart home systems Diagnose electrical issues and complete necessary repairs efficiently Read and interpret plans, diagrams, and specifications Communicate professionally with customers, inspectors, and team members Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites Properly use and care for company tools, vehicles, and equipment Document work performed and materials used Follow all safety policies and represent the company professionally Qualifications & Requirements 2-5 years of electrical experience (apprentice/helper roles considered) Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass background screening (if required) Physically able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor conditions Licensing & Certifications (If Applicable) Florida Journeyman Electrician License (preferred, not required) Additional certifications or training may be required based on job assignments Work Schedule & Overtime Standard work hours are Monday through Friday unless otherwise scheduled Overtime, weekend, or emergency work may be required based on business needs All overtime must be approved in advance unless in an emergency situation
