The ideal candidate will have experience installing, programming, troubleshooting, and repairing automatic garage door and gate systems. Job Responsibilities Install, wire, program, troubleshoot, and repair automatic garage door and gate systems. Install and troubleshoot low-voltage wiring, sensors, photo eyes, keypads, receivers, remotes, safety devices, and access-control equipment. Diagnose electrical, communication, control-board, and operating-system issues. Program and configure garage door operators, gate operators, access-control systems, and related equipment. Troubleshoot different operating systems, control boards, and electronic systems used with garage doors and gates. Read and understand wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer installation manuals. Test and verify that all systems are operating safely and correctly. Troubleshoot motors, relays, transformers, sensors, control boards, and other components. Identify defective equipment and recommend appropriate repairs or replacement. Provide professional customer service and explain system operation and repairs to customers. Maintain accurate service and installation records. Follow all applicable safety procedures and manufacturer specifications. Required Qualifications Previous experience in low voltage, garage doors, gates, access control, or a related field. Strong knowledge of installation and troubleshooting. Knowledge of operating systems and the ability to program, configure, and troubleshoot system controls. Ability to read wiring diagrams and electrical schematics. Knowledge of low-voltage wiring, sensors, relays, transformers, control boards, and motors. Ability to use a multimeter and other basic testing equipment. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and solve problems in the field. Good communication and customer-service skills. Valid driver's license. Ability to work outdoors and perform physical installation and service work. Preferred Experience Experience with the following is a plus: Automatic gate operators Garage door operators Access control systems Keypads and card readers Intercom systems Vehicle detection loops Safety sensors and photo eyes Remote controls and receivers Network/IP-based access-control systems Security and low-voltage systems What We Are Looking For Sunrise Garage & Gates is looking for someone who is reliable, professional, technically skilled, and willing to learn.
