Industrial Electrician

Job Summary:

The Industrial Electrician position includes the installation, maintenance, and service of three-phase electrical systems, troubleshooting controls, and working with high voltages.

Essential Functions:

Troubleshoot causes of electrical failures Install VFDs, generators, electrical motors, and automatic power transfer switches. Prepare sketches for electrical layout and installations. Calculate line leads to determine capacity, wire size, and equipment size. Knowledge of and adherence to NEC requirements. Knowledge of testing, safety, and process sensing equipment. Ability to interpret complex electrical schematics, blueprints, and piping layouts. Ability to work independently and as a team member to complete daily activities according to the work schedule. Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions. Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency. Regular, in-person attendance is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record High school diploma or equivalent

Industrial Electrician Experience:

3+ years Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and piping layouts

Preferred Qualifications:

Troubleshooting Experience with 3-phase installations: 4+ years (preferred) Journeyman License (preferred)

Physical Demands:

Must be able to regularly move items weighing up to 50 pounds

Work Environment:

Exposure to direct sunlight

Panel Shop Manager Hours:

Monday - Friday (7:00 am - 3:30 pm)
