The Electrician Helper is responsible for assisting Electricians by performing tasks on the job. Duties will include installation, additions, alterations, and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials & equipment within the commercial and residential construction industry. Job sites are typically new construction, remodel, and service calls. You will receive on the job training under the supervision of a Lead Electrician, learning the necessary skills and knowledge of the trade. Experience is preferred but not required, will train the right person.

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED

:

• Ability to be on time, ready to work and ready to learn.
• Ability to work independently and self-manage.
• Performs all electrical tasks with general supervision.
• Ability to troubleshoot circuits, and equipment.
• Ability to learn how to troubleshoot lighting and learn lighting control systems.
• Ability to learn and follow National Electrical Code.
• Understand and read schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications.
• Ability to accept direction and follow established company procedures.
• Ability to measure, cut, bend, assemble and install electrical conduit.
• Learn to Install controls and electrical distribution packages, such as panels, disconnects, switches, relays and circuit breaker
• Work in restricted areas (closets, tunnels, crawl spaces, attics).
