Day Shift, On-Call as Needed, Overtime Available Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Industrial Electrician to join our maintenance team. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment throughout airport facilities, including terminals, airfield lighting systems, baggage handling systems, pumps, motors, generators, and other critical infrastructure. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Knowledge of Rigid conduit and Hydraulic Benders Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on motors, control systems, transformers, switchgear, and electrical distribution systems. Diagnose electrical issues using testing equipment, meters, and diagnostic tools. Maintain and repair airfield lighting systems, runway lighting, and airport support equipment. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Install and maintain conduit, wiring, panels, breakers, and electrical components. Troubleshoot PLCs, motor controls, VFDs, and automation systems. Perform emergency repairs to minimize operational disruptions. Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, FAA, and airport safety regulations. Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation. Coordinate with airport operations, contractors, and other maintenance personnel. Participate in on-call rotations and respond to after-hours emergencies as required.
QualificationsRequired:
Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent industrial electrical experience. Minimum 3 years of industrial, commercial, or heavy electrical maintenance experience. Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, motor controls, and industrial equipment. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics. Valid Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record. Ability to pass background screening and obtain airport security clearance.
Preferred:
Experience working in airports, transportation facilities, manufacturing, or industrial environments. PLC troubleshooting experience. Experience with airfield lighting systems. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. Knowledge of FAA regulations and airport operations. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and enter confined spaces. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
