An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

Physical Requirements :
List specific physical demands, such as lifting 50+ pounds and standing or walking for long hours in extreme weather. Duties Install, inspect, and repair electrical wiring, panels, motors, and control systems in accordance with blueprints and technical drawings. Read and interpret construction drawings and technical schematics to ensure precise installation and maintenance of electrical components. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for testing electrical circuits and troubleshoot issues efficiently. Collaborate with construction management teams to coordinate electrical work within project schedules and budgets. Supervise and manage teams of electricians and apprentices on-site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Conduct regular safety inspections to comply with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations and federal construction safety standards. Review construction schedules using Primavera P6 or HeavyBid software to align electrical activities with overall project timelines. Manage contracts, procurement of materials, and ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle. Oversee construction safety management practices, ensuring all team members follow OSHA guidelines and industry best practices. Coordinate with other trades to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within the broader construction process. Experience Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician within heavy industrial or commercial construction environments. Demonstrated ability to read complex blueprints, technical drawings, and interpret engineering specifications accurately. Supervisory experience managing teams in a fast-paced construction setting with a focus on safety and quality assurance. Strong understanding of construction scheduling, project coordination, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations including OSHA standards for industrial sites. Hands-on experience with construction site safety management practices including hazard identification and risk mitigation strategies. Maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety compliance. Excellent communication skills for managing crews and ensuring clear documentation of work progress.
