Job Description

About the Role Our Technicians are the backbone of Xlectrical's reputation. They are the face our clients see, the hands that ensure every installation is code-compliant and built to last, and the professionals who turn a service call into a lasting relationship. We are looking for a Top Notch Electrical Technician — someone who brings deep residential mastery, intermediate commercial competency, and the communication skills to match. This is not an entry-level role. We expect experience, ownership, and pride in craft. What You'll Do Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in strict adherence to the National Electrical Code (NEC) across residential and commercial environments. Conduct thorough testing of electrical components, panels, circuits, and devices to ensure safe, effective, and code-compliant installations. Perform detailed inspections of electrical systems and equipment, identifying and resolving damage, malfunctions, and safety hazards with precision. Provide accurate, itemized estimates to clients based on comprehensive site assessments and findings. Communicate project status, technical findings, and recommendations to clients in a clear, professional, and confident manner — in English. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times, representing the Xlectrical brand with professionalism. Document work completed accurately using company systems and reporting tools. Collaborate with the office team and project managers to ensure scheduling, materials, and client expectations are aligned. What We're Looking For Technical Expertise Strong, demonstrable knowledge in residential electrical services — panel upgrades, service changes, wiring, outlets, circuits, lighting, EV chargers, generators, and troubleshooting. Intermediate to advanced competency in commercial electrical work — tenant improvements, commercial panel work, conduit installation, and light commercial service calls. Solid understanding of the NEC and ability to apply code requirements in the field without supervision. Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, and load calculations. Experience & Credentials Minimum 5 years of professional field. Clean driving record — company vehicle will be assigned. Communication & Professionalism Advanced English proficiency — both spoken and written — is required. You will interact directly with clients, homeowners, property managers, and inspectors. Clear, confident communication is non-negotiable. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus given our South Florida market. Professional appearance and demeanor on every job site. Character & Mindset Highly self-motivated — you don't need to be micromanaged to do great work. Detail-oriented and thorough; you catch things others miss. Customer-first attitude — you understand that technical excellence and client experience go hand in hand. Reliable, punctual, and accountable. Team player who communicates proactively with dispatch and management. Why Xlectrical State-certified electrical contractor operating across greater Broward County and South Florida. Company vehicle provided. Competitive compensation based on experience. A growing company where top performers are recognized and rewarded. A culture built on professionalism, quality, and doing the job right the first time. If you're a technician who takes pride in your work, holds yourself to a high standard, and is ready to be part of a team that represents excellence in South Florida — we want to hear from you.
