None Direct Hire Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent for a direct hire opportunity with a well-established electrical contractor serving the Tampa area. This is a long-term career opportunity for an experienced journeyman electrician who has progressed into a foreman, crew lead, or superintendent role. The successful candidate will oversee and lead electrical crews on major commercial and industrial projects, including work at Tampa International Airport, MacDill AFB, USF, Port Tampa , and other major facilities throughout the Tampa area. Position Overview The ideal candidate will have strong experience with medium-voltage electrical systems, switchgear, and power distribution , along with a proven ability to lead crews of 4-10 electricians. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring both technical electrical expertise and strong field supervision skills. Key Responsibilities Supervise and lead electrical crews of approximately 4-10 electricians . Coordinate daily field activities, manpower, materials, and equipment. Perform hands-on electrical work and provide technical guidance to crew members. Oversee installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of commercial and industrial electrical systems. Lead work involving medium voltage, switchgear, and power distribution systems . Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications and applicable electrical codes. Maintain compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety requirements. Coordinate with project management, other trades, inspectors, and site personnel. Monitor crew productivity, workmanship, and job progress. Identify and resolve field issues and coordinate solutions as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician. Strong commercial electrical background with significant industrial experience . Previous experience leading an electrical crew. Experience managing crews of 4-10 electricians .
Strong hands-on experience with:
Medium voltage Switchgear Power distribution Florida Journeyman Electrician license required; out-of-state licenses with reciprocity may be considered . OSHA 10 minimum required. OSHA 30 preferred.
NFPA 70E
/ arc-flash and PPE training preferred. Clean driving record. Must be able to pass required federal and site-specific background checks. Compensation & Benefits $30
  • 40 per hour , based on experience and qualifications.
