At Mr. Electric of Tampa, you can earn $30-$40 per hour, dispatch from home, and build your skills through ongoing training and company-paid licensing expenses. If you enjoy solving electrical problems and helping homeowners understand their options, this role puts both skills to work. You'll diagnose issues, explain repair or replacement options, and complete safe, reliable installations and repairs. Our goal is to keep you booked with quality appointments so you can focus on your work and the customer experience. What we offer Hourly pay of $30-$40 based on verifiable experience and technical skill level Company-paid expenses to earn your Journeyman Certificate. Paid sick time, vacation, and holidays. What you will do
Residential:
Diagnose, repair, and install residential electrical systems including panel and service upgrades (100-200A), whole-home rewires, branch circuits, lighting, EV chargers, whole-home surge protection, and standby generator/ATS installations; present options to homeowners and close the work at the visit.
Light commercial:
Perform service, tenant-improvement, and small-project work in retail, restaurant, medical, and multifamily settings — three-phase distribution up to 400A, dedicated equipment circuits, lighting retrofits, EV Level 2 installs, and generator/ATS service — working from drawings and coordinating with GCs and property managers. Troubleshoot electrical problems, inspect equipment, and perform quality control testing in accordance with local and national electrical codes and safety standards. Help homeowners understand your findings and their repair or replacement options. Present clear estimates on an iPad and obtain customer signatures before starting work. Read blueprints, run conduit, wire and terminate devices, and determine the materials and quantities needed for each project. Take ownership of your service calls, use sound judgment to solve problems, and work with the team to complete jobs safely, efficiently, and on time. Respect customers' homes, maintain clean work areas, and keep your company vehicle and equipment serviced, stocked, and organized. Review completed work with each customer and address concerns before leaving. What you bring 5+ years of electrical experience preferred, with strong troubleshooting skills and confidence using the tools of the trade. Proficiency with ServiceTitan. Experience serving homeowners and the ability to explain electrical issues and service options clearly, both verbally and in writing. Dependability, professional appearance and conduct, a friendly approach, and a commitment to quality. You welcome feedback and opportunities to learn. Ability to climb ladders, access spaces requiring service, and lift or move heavy equipment and materials as needed.
