Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across industrial and commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from renovation and construction sites to ongoing facility maintenance, utilizing your technical knowledge and hands-on skills to deliver top-quality electrical solutions. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems, including high-voltage wiring and low-voltage controls. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts. Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults and determine appropriate solutions. Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, local electrical codes, and electrical safety procedures. Install programmable logic controllers (PLCs), control panels, switchgear, and other automation components for industrial systems. Conduct routine maintenance on existing electrical infrastructure to prevent failures and optimize performance. Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems while adhering to schematics and blueprints. Requirements Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems. Proven experience working as an electrician in industrial or commercial environments with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems. Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code) compliance requirements. Hands-on experience with troubleshooting complex electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and power tools. Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately. Familiarity with high-voltage electrical wiring, low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and control circuitry. Strong understanding of local electrical codes, safety procedures, and installation practices on construction sites or renovation projects. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and performing detailed wiring tasks in various environments including construction sites or existing facilities. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions efficiently.
