Position Summary The Residential Service Technician is responsible for independently diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing residential electrical systems while delivering an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate has a strong residential electrical background, excellent troubleshooting abilities, a professional appearance, and the integrity to always do what's right for the customer. This position requires someone who can work independently, communicate effectively with homeowners, and assist in training apprentices while maintaining Safety 1st Electrical Services' high standards of workmanship. Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot residential electrical systems. Perform electrical repairs, upgrades, and installations. Install lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, switches, receptacles, and dedicated circuits. Install EV chargers and associated electrical infrastructure. Assist with service upgrades, panel replacements, and generator installations. Perform electrical inspections and identify code-related concerns. Complete service calls independently. Maintain accurate job documentation and photos. Communicate professionally with homeowners regarding project progress. Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked company vehicle. Assist with training and mentoring apprentices when assigned. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Maintain high levels of workmanship and professionalism on every project. QualificationsRequired Minimum 5 years of residential electrical experience. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities. Valid driver's license. Clean driving record. Ability to pass a background check. Ability to pass a drug screening. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication and customer service skills. Professional appearance and attitude. Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical job duties. Preferred Georgia Electrical License. Experience with service upgrades. Experience with EV charger installations. Experience with generator installations. Experience training apprentices. Compensation & Benefits $28.00
