Competitive salary Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Stock options plan Training & development Vision insurance We are seeking a motivated Electrician to assist with the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment at our asphalt plant. This position is ideal for someone beginning their electrical career who is eager to learn industrial electrical systems, plant operations, and preventative maintenance practices in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities Assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment and systems throughout the asphalt plant. Help troubleshoot electrical issues involving motors, conveyors, control panels, sensors, and plant equipment. Perform preventative maintenance inspections on electrical systems and machinery. Read and follow electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Assist with wiring, conduit installation, and motor connections. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition. Follow all plant safety procedures, lockout/tagout policies, and OSHA regulations. Support plant operations during breakdowns and emergency repairs. Work with maintenance and production teams to minimize equipment downtime. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical school or vocational training in electrical systems preferred. Basic understanding of industrial electrical systems, motors, and control circuits. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams. Knowledge of electrical safety practices, including lockout/tagout procedures and OSHA standards. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Willingness to learn PLC systems, motor controls, and industrial automation equipment. Ability to work safely in a fast-paced industrial and outdoor environment. Physically capable of lifting heavy materials, climbing ladders, and working in varying weather conditions. Dependable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team. Good communication and organizational skills.
