Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Travel Electrician to support data center construction and renovation projects across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive electrical experience, including industrial and commercial settings, with a focus on high and low voltage systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex electrical installations, troubleshoot sophisticated systems, and contribute to critical infrastructure projects. The Travel Electrician will ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and technical specifications, supporting the seamless operation of data centers through expert electrical expertise. Contract Location:
Marietta, GA.
Start:
As early as September 21st or late as October 12th. 3 to 5 month contract, we will have others lined up after this one as well.
Hours:
Days or Nights available. 6x10 hour shifts. 1 day off a week.
Pay:
Negotiable depending on experience - ($32/hr to $36/hr) + Tax free stipend! If you work 60 hours a week the minimum you would make is $3,115/week.
Tax Free Stipend:
$3,500/month ($875/week or $145/day)

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and dependable Data Center Electrician to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems within a mission-critical data center environment. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial/industrial electrical experience, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment where reliability and attention to detail are essential. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment within the data center. Install and terminate electrical wiring, conduit, cable tray, panels, switchgear, transformers, disconnects, and related equipment. Perform electrical installations in accordance with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and project specifications. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, one-line diagrams, and equipment documentation. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical distribution systems and equipment. Assist with installation and maintenance of critical power systems, including UPS systems, generators, transfer switches, PDUs, and electrical distribution equipment. Troubleshoot electrical circuits and equipment using appropriate testing and diagnostic tools. Perform electrical testing, inspections, and equipment checks as required. Support equipment start-up, commissioning, and shutdown activities. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, equipment conditions, and maintenance activities. Follow established lockout/tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, and site-specific procedures. Coordinate with other electricians, technicians, contractors, engineers, and data center operations personnel. Respond to electrical issues and emergencies in a timely and professional manner. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company policies, OSHA requirements, and data center safety procedures. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. 2+ years of electrical experience; data center, commercial, industrial, or mission-critical experience preferred. Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, conduit installation, and electrical distribution. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics. Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC). Experience using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment. Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and OSHA requirements. Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and identify the root cause of problems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety. Preferred Qualifications Journeyman Electrician license or data center equivalent experience. Previous data center or mission-critical facility experience. Experience with medium- and low-voltage electrical systems. Experience with UPS systems, generators, switchgear, ATS/STS equipment, PDUs, and critical power distribution. Experience with commissioning and startup activities.

Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined or elevated areas for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry electrical materials and equipment as required. Ability to work from ladders, lifts, and elevated work platforms. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including areas with elevated temperatures or equipment noise. The shift will be assigned by the client, and once assigned, you will remain on that shift for the duration of the contract. Candidates must be comfortable working either days or nights and accepting the shift assigned.
