The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading electrical teams in installs, maintenance, and service work for commercial and residential areas. This role requires expertise in managing projects, ensuring compliance with standards, and delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines. Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems. Plan and coordinate electrical installations, ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to execute projects accurately. Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime. Ensure adherence to OSHA safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to meet project goals and deadlines. Mentor and train electrician helpers to build team skills and efficiency. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and be available for overtime as needed.
Requirements Experience:
Minimum of 5 years as a lead electrician or journeyman electrician in commercial/light industrial settings, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of NEC, local codes, and electrical systems.
Skills :
Proficient in using electrical tools (e.g., multimeters, wire strippers, power tools). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Other :
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to pass a background check. Must own basic hand tools. Willingness to work overtime and on-call shifts.
