Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both residential and commercial electrical work, demonstrating proficiency in various electrical systems and tools. This role requires a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and the ability to work effectively on construction sites in a team environment. The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing PV Photovoltaic Solar electrical systems while adhering to the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards. Duties Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with NEC standards. Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout of electrical systems. Conduct low voltage and high voltage installations as required. Perform renovations and upgrades on existing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively on construction sites. Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure project completion within timelines. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications Proven experience as an electrician in both residential and commercial settings. Strong understanding of electrical systems (relating to PV solar systems), including low voltage and high voltage applications. Familiarity with NEC codes and regulations is essential. Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical documents related to electrical installations. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment effectively. Previous construction site experience is highly desirable. Frame carpentry or maintenance person experience is a plus but not required. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
