The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, with experience in both residential and industrial settings. This role requires a thorough understanding of electrical systems, the ability to read and interpret schematics, and proficiency with various hand and power tools. The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical installations and repairs are completed safely and efficiently. Duties Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in compliance with local codes and regulations. Perform troubleshooting on electrical systems to identify issues and implement effective solutions. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters to complete tasks accurately. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements. Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure seamless project execution. Conduct low voltage wiring installations as needed for various applications. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices or less experienced electricians when necessary. Requirements Valid Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician license or equivalent certification. Proven experience as an electrician in both residential and industrial settings. Familiarity with frame carpentry is a plus. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters. Ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members on construction sites. A maintenance person background is advantageous but not required.
