HVAC Maintenance and Electrician :
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated electrician, HVAC maintenance and Automation (PLC & Mechanical) skilled person to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of electrical systems and equipment within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial and commercial automation and electrical work, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various electrical, mechanical components. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. In this position, you will have full time electrician reporting to you. This position is based in Elgin, IL.
Duties:
Perform all manufacturing plant electrical, electronic, HVAC, dust collectors, diagnostics repair and installation. Work on troubleshooting electrical issues with extruder and replace heating elements, thermostats & controllers. Electrical skills in troubleshooting and repairing 480/230 v 3ph.120 v and 24v systems with the ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, and PLC ladder logic Running new high voltage electrical circuit from the panel to the equipment Troubleshoot and repair PLC circuits. Analyze current machinery for PLC automation implementation, troubleshoot and repair, replace PLC circuits Design and assemble control circuits and cabinets with user interface Troubleshoot/program/specify motor drives. Replace and program drives Maintains a running log on barrel and screw inventory, changes, history and throughput Ability to determine when scope of job is beyond existing skill set or requires additional support Perform all mechanical and electrical duties required, and additional duties as assigned Troubleshoot/program/specify motor drives Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures. Take periodic inventories of maintenance supplies, tools and prepare ordering information for purchasing by Supervisor Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed. Assist in performance of emergency maintenance work on a rush basis when production is adversely affected or directed by Plant Manager Keep work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition at all possible times
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician or Commercial Electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems. Familiarity with logic controllers and their applications in industrial settings. Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting electrical issues. Basic knowledge of frame carpentry is a plus, allowing for comprehensive building maintenance support. Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams related to electrical installations. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
