Job Description

Abt Electronics has an immediate opening for a Generator Installer. We are a family owned company since 1936 and continue to experience strong growth year after year. We specialize in a variety of products and deliver, install and service everything we sell. As a perennial winner of the Chicago Tribune's Top Workplace Award, we are looking for a highly motivated, flexible & friendly Generator Technician to join our team! Primary duties include deliver & install generators in customer's homes/businesses in a timely & efficient manner, as well as providing customer education on use of installed products. Perform electrical installations of products sold by Abt in accordance to local code Install generators, transfer switches & electrical panels Run new lines to accommodate new products in homes & businesses
Requirements:
Electrician certification is a plus Ability to read schematics & blueprints, run conduit, wire, install devices and troubleshooting Assemble, install, test or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus or fixtures Pass a DOT physical & drug test Valid Driver's License Able to participate daily in physical labor Be friendly & respectful towards customers and their property Mechanical aptitude Problem-solving skills We offer our team members: Yearly performance review Salary Ranges from $70k-120k per year depending on experience Medical/Dental (Blue Cross and Blue Shield PPO Network) & Vision (VSP) 401(k) (Charles Schwab) which includes a matching program Life & Disability insurance (Lincoln Financial) Generous Paid Time Off/Sick Pay Program Continued training & career development Employee discounts on all products we sell Performance based bonus programs
