Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial and commercial settings using electrical schematics and blueprints. Perform high-voltage wiring and maintenance on industrial equipment, ensuring compliance with NFPA 70 standards and electrical building codes. Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters, ammeters, and multimeters to identify faults and determine solutions efficiently. Maintain and repair motor control equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial motors, and low voltage systems to optimize operational performance. Follow strict electrical safety procedures during all phases of installation and maintenance work to protect yourself and your team. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately for precise installation or repair tasks. Use hand tools, power tools, and construction site experience to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to specification. Skills Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical work. Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), electrical building codes, and safety procedures. Skilled in electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting complex issues quickly using appropriate testing instruments like ohmmeters and ammeters. Experience with high-voltage electrical wiring, industrial motor maintenance & repair, motor control equipment, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, schematics diagrams, and technical drawings with precision. Familiarity with low voltage systems installation, electrical systems installation on construction sites, and blueprint reading skills. Competence in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers; power tools; power drills; frame carpentry skills; as well as testing devices like ammeters.
