In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various settings, including commercial, industrial, and construction sites. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your technical skills and expand your professional growth. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to accurately execute installation and repair tasks. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to perform electrical work on construction sites or renovation projects. Test electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to diagnose issues accurately. Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems to support automation and control functions. Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards for safety and quality. Collaborate with construction teams, frame carpenters, and other trades to coordinate project timelines and requirements. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or failures before they occur. Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections for each project. Adhere to safety protocols on construction sites or industrial environments to prevent accidents or injuries. Experience Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems in various environments. Hands-on experience working on construction sites or renovation projects involving complex wiring tasks. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical diagrams essential for precise installations. Knowledge of high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical systems is highly desirable. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation projects is a plus. Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship. Strong understanding of NEC regulations, safety standards, and electrical codes applicable in different regions. Handyman skills or frame carpentry experience can be advantageous for multi-disciplinary tasks involving electrical components within broader construction activities.
