Job Description

Physical Requirements Ø Able to regularly use hands to handle, and feel. Ø Must have full use of hands and arms and legs to reach and operate equipment. Ø Able to move equipment which would include pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting. Ø Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb. Ø Able to regularly lift or move objects of 35lbs. or more Ø Able to read and understand maintenance and electrical procedures. Ø Able to work from maintenance work order system. Ø Able to work in a considerable noisy environment from equipment. Ø Able to perform work duties outside in varying weather conditions prevalent at the time. Ø Must be physically capable of performing work from ladders, lift trucks, and roofs to be able to install, maintain and repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures Ø Ability to work hours as required by production, overtime and including weekends Responsibilities Ø Electrical experience in machine control and facility maintenance is appreciated Ø Read blueprints and technical diagrams Ø Inspect electrical components to include transformers, breakers and fuses Ø Ensure to resolve and rectify problems correctly prior to breakdowns occurrence. Ø Inspect periodically electrical equipment to assure it is operating correctly. Ø Ensures work facility fulfills all required safety and environmental needs. Ø Conduct in-depth electrical maintenance and instrumentation for troubleshooting, preventative and repair maintenance duties for plant utility, process and packaging equipment. Ø Maintain and repair all electrical equipment within the plant and external warehouse facilities Ø Perform comprehensive troubleshooting down to component levels to determine root cause failures Ø Operate electrical test equipment including voltmeter, megger, and amprobe Ø Responsible for the timely and safe repair of all manufacturing and facility equipment to keep production operating at maximum efficiency and capacity Ø Fluent in working with DC voltage as well as AC up to and including 480V Ø Follow all safety protocols including Lockout-Tag out procedures. Utilize all necessary safety precautions, equipment, and personal protective equipment when working near or on live electrical circuit Ø Able to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams. Must have knowledge and ability to maintain and program VFD's and to troubleshoot PLC's. Ø Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot Analog and Digital circuits Ø Fluent in reading of schematics and wiring diagrams Ø Maintain electrical pneumatic and hydraulic equipment including but not exclusive to punch presses, balers, thermoformers, rewinding and paper converting machinery Ø Perform replacement on diagnosed faulty electrical elements of machines including motors, relays, sensors, circuit boards, and proximity switches utilizing hand tools Ø Install conduit and run electrical wiring to new and relocated equipment as necessary. Ø Work with outside vendors and technical resources as needed Essential Duties Ø Maintenance Electricians must be able to operate equipment. Ø Repairs and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment in accordance with operation manual and manufacturer's specifications. Ø Inspect used parts to determine changes in electrical requirements. Ø Performs mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines. Ø Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment. Ø Performs schedule maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. #

$35.00 - $38.00 per hour
