Electrical Maintenance Technician

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician for a temp-to-hire role in Mooresville, IN

This role is temp-to-hire and will go permanent in 3-4 months depending on performance.

PAY:

30-38.00/hr

HOURS:

12 hr shift 2/2/3 schedule

SCHEDULE

Expected work will be Monday-Friday; approximately 40 hours/week

Temporary to hire after 3-4 months (pending performance) Electrical Maintenance Technician

The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and supporting industrial electrical systems and automated production equipment. This position works with electrical systems up to 480 volts and performs preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability while minimizing production downtime. The technician will diagnose electrical and control system issues, support equipment installations, and ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with industry standards.

Qualifications for Electrical Maintenance Technician

Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including 120V, 240V, and 480V equipment.

Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical control circuits, motor controls, relays, contactors, VFDs, sensors, instrumentation, and automated production equipment.

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, technical manuals, and PLC documentation.

Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting and the ability to identify faults within automated systems.

Knowledge of industrial electrical safety practices, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and

NFPA 70E

standards.

Experience performing preventive electrical maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.

Ability to diagnose equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions.

Experience supporting installation, electrical connections, testing, commissioning, and startup of new equipment.

Demonstrated ability to work safely with industrial electrical systems up to 480 volts.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.

Education & Experience

High School Diploma or GED required.

Formal technical training in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance or related electrical maintenance experience.

Technical certification, vocational training, or coursework in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred.

Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent industrial electrical experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to perform job duties that require:

Standing for extended periods

Walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and climbing

Working around industrial production equipment

Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. unassisted

Safely using required PPE and electrical safety equipment

Position requires the use of PPE including: Steel toe work boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, and other required
