In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across our school district. Your expertise will ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards, local electrical codes, and industry regulations. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute projects. Use hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical issues efficiently. Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting to resolve system faults promptly while adhering to electrical safety procedures. Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely completion of installations and repairs while maintaining compliance with local electrical codes. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspection reports, troubleshooting logs, and schematic updates. Requirements Proven experience as an electrician with a valid Journeyman license or certification. Extensive industrial electrician experience combined with commercial electrical systems expertise. Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), and local electrical codes. Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and schematics for both high-voltage and low-voltage systems. Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting electrical systems, and working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
