Job Description Summary:
The Industrial Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment throughout the production facility. This role supports critical manufacturing operations including forging, machining, cutting, and material processing equipment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, and experienced in industrial environments with complex machinery and automated systems. Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Repair Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical issues on industrial equipment, including forging presses, CNC machines, waterjet, and material processing systems Perform preventative maintenance on motors, control systems, and plant electrical infrastructure Maintain and repair wiring, transformers, circuit breakers, and control panels Equipment & Systems Support Install, test, and calibrate electrical systems and components Work with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), and automated systems Support upgrades and modifications to improve equipment performance and reliability Safety & Compliance Follow all OSHA and company safety standards Ensure compliance with electrical codes and company quality standards (ISO-based processes) Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities Collaboration Work closely with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to minimize downtime Assist with equipment installations and facility improvements Communicate effectively regarding equipment status and repair timelines Qualifications Associates Degree of Science in Engineering or related field (or technical certification or apprenticeship) 5+ years of industrial electrician experience in manufacturing or heavy industry Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and troubleshooting techniques Experience with PLCs, motor controls, and industrial automation preferred Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals Willingness to work flexible shifts, overtime, and respond to urgent maintenance needs Key Competencies Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills Attention to detail and commitment to safety Ability to work independently and as part of a team Adaptability in a fast-paced production environment Why Join High Performance Alloys, Inc.?
