Job Title:
Journeyman Electrician Job Description This role offers experienced journeyman electricians the opportunity to contribute to a growing leadership team focused on building and prefabricating electrical systems for data center equipment. You will perform conduit bending, wire pulling, and terminations to support the creation of HACs and failure domains for large transformers and related equipment. The position includes significant prefabrication work in a controlled warehouse environment, with the opportunity to mentor apprentices and helpers as the team expands. Responsibilities Bend conduit accurately to meet project specifications and fit complex electrical systems. Pull wire and route cabling to support HACs, failure domains, and other critical electrical infrastructure for large transformers and associated equipment. Perform terminations on a variety of electrical components, ensuring safe, reliable, and code-compliant connections. Carry out prefabrication work, including bending conduit and wiring or terminating equipment that will later be installed at multiple data center locations. Install EMT and rigid conduit systems in a commercial and industrial environment. Interpret and work from electrical blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to complete installations correctly and efficiently. Use hand and power tools, bending equipment, and test instruments to install, troubleshoot, and verify electrical systems. Adhere to applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures throughout all phases of work. Collaborate with other electricians, technicians, and production staff to meet project timelines and quality standards. Provide guidance, task delegation, and on-the-job training to assigned apprentices and helpers as the team grows. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area within the warehouse and manufacturing facility. Document work as needed, including labeling, basic as-built updates, and completion of required forms or checklists. Essential Skills Strong experience with conduit bending in commercial and industrial environments. At least 4 years of experience in a commercial or industrial electrical setting. Proficiency with wire pulling and cable installation for power and control systems. Hands-on experience installing EMT and rigid conduit systems. Demonstrated ability to perform high-quality electrical terminations. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings. Working knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards. Experience with general electrical installation in construction or industrial settings. Capability to follow detailed instructions and complete tasks with minimal supervision. Commitment to safe work practices in a warehouse and manufacturing environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Journeyman license card or completion of accredited journeyman-level hours is a strong plus. Completion of a trade school program in electrical or a related field is highly desirable. Experience working on industrial or data center projects is beneficial. Ability to mentor and support apprentices or helpers in a team environment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail when working from schematics and blueprints. Comfort working with a variety of electrical tools, bending equipment, and testing devices. Reliable attendance and flexibility to work extended shifts as production demands increase. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based initially in a warehouse in Whitestown, IN, with the primary manufacturing and prefabrication facility located in Pittsboro, IN. You will work in a temperature-controlled warehouse and manufacturing setting where electrical systems are prefabricated before being deployed to data center sites. The starting schedule is 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with a planned transition to 10-hour shifts, likely 5:30 AM to 3:30 PM or 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, as production ramps up. The environment includes typical warehouse and manufacturing equipment, electrical tools, conduit bending machines, and materials handling equipment. Work is performed indoors, with an emphasis on safety, organization, and consistent production processes; attire should be appropriate for an industrial warehouse and manufacturing setting, including suitable work clothing and any required personal protective equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Whitestown, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $62400.00- $83200.00/yr.
