About the Role KanPak®, a Golden State Foods company, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for our Arkansas City, KS facility. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems. This position plays a critical role in ensuring equipment reliability and supporting efficient plant operations in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. What You'll Do Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production equipment Monitor equipment performance and identify deviations from normal operation Repair and maintain facility systems including plumbing and basic building repairs Work across multiple skilled trades such as electrical, welding, carpentry, and mechanical repair Support wastewater systems and facility infrastructure as needed Ensure equipment and systems operate safely and efficiently Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment Collaborate with team members to support plant operations What You'll Need High school diploma or GED required Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical, mechanical, or construction trades Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to disassemble and reassemble equipment Experience with electrical, electro-mechanical, or pneumatic systems Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings (preferred) Troubleshooting experience preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent problem-solving abilities Self-motivated with strong teamwork skills Commitment to safe work practices Ability to work in heights and confined spaces Reliable transportation The Schedule & Setting Full-time, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM shift Facility operates 24/7; flexibility required for weekends and overtime Work performed in a manufacturing environment Physical requirements include: Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching Regular lifting up to 50 lbs Working with hands, tools, and equipment Exposure to mechanical systems and industrial environments Vision requirements include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision
