In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure that electrical projects meet all safety standards, local electrical codes, and industry regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from renovation sites to new construction, utilizing your comprehensive electrical knowledge and hands-on skills to deliver high-quality results. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments, ensuring compliance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and low-voltage system installations with precision and safety. Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults and determine appropriate solutions. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete wiring tasks efficiently on construction sites or renovation projects. Follow electrical safety procedures rigorously to prevent accidents or hazards during installation or maintenance activities. Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely completion of electrical work while adhering to local electrical codes and standards. Assist with schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and schematic updates as needed for ongoing projects. Support other trades such as frame carpentry or handyman tasks when required to facilitate smooth project progress. Requirements Valid Journeyman Electrician license with proven experience in industrial or commercial electrical work. Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), and local electrical codes. Demonstrated experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), high-voltage systems, and low-voltage wiring. Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical diagnostics using tools like ohmmeters and multimeters. Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and electrical system installation. Construction site experience with the ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and project demands. Familiarity with renovation projects and construction processes including framing carpentry when applicable. Ability to read technical schematics, blueprints, and schematics accurately for precise installation work. Knowledge of electrical safety procedures to ensure safe practices on all job sites. Handyman experience or related skills in general maintenance tasks is a plus.
