Position Overview Perry Electrical is seeking a Journeyman Electrician with strong experience in commercial construction to join our growing team in Topeka, KS. The ideal candidate has 8-15 years of electrical experience, a deep understanding of commercial systems, and a strong work ethic aligned with our values. You'll play a key role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems on a variety of commercial job sites—while mentoring apprentices and representing our company's professional standards. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in commercial buildings. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety standards. Collaborate effectively with project managers, foremen, and apprentices. Lead by example on quality, safety, and teamwork. Diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently. Maintain organized work areas and accurate documentation. Qualifications Valid Kansas Journeyman Electrician License (or equivalent). 8-15 years of experience in the commercial electrical construction field. Strong knowledge of NEC and OSHA standards. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints. Proven leadership skills and ability to train or mentor apprentices. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
