Overview $1,500 Sign On Bonus Included As one of the nation's largest single-source providers of lighting and electrical products, electrical services, electrical construction, and energy management solutions, Facility Solutions Group is expanding its staff and seeking several Journeyman Electricians to join our Lenexa, KS team. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will plan and layout the installation of commercial electrical components, wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial or industrial electrical construction. Have the ability to manage, train, and develop apprentice electricians to promote career development, as well as promote the core values of FSG through excellent customer service and ensuring the safety of all work. Responsibilities As a Journeyman Electrician, you will: Follow diagrams and read blueprints. Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes. Plan new or modified installations to minimize material waste while staying consistent with specifications, safety, and local electrical codes. Install control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels, buss, busbar, electrical feeders, power systems, and/or switchgear. Repairs faulty equipment or systems. Work from ladders, scaffolds, equipment, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures. Meet attendance standards and comply with late/absence notification procedures. Adhere to all FSG quality and safety expectations, guidelines, and policies. Qualifications The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements and qualifications: High School Diploma or General Education Degree Ability to multitask while staying organized Strong verbal and written communication skills Positive customer service skills
