Full Job Description Lead Electrical Installer and Service Technician Location:
Covington, KY Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead Electrical Installer and Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will lead electrical installation and service projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and superior customer satisfaction. This position is ideal for a results-driven professional with strong technical skills, leadership ability, and commitment to safety and excellence. Key Responsibilities Manage and execute the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems (residential, commercial, or industrial as applicable). Provide technical guidance and leadership to installation teams; oversee project timelines to ensure on-time and on-budget completion. Diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently while adhering to all safety standards and codes. Establish strong customer relationships by delivering exceptional service and clear communication at every phase of the project. Ensure all materials, tools, and equipment are properly staged and inventoried for each job. Complete required documentation, including service records, installation checklists, and job reports accurately and on time. Train and mentor junior technicians and assist in their professional development. Maintain a clean, organized work environment and company vehicle. Stay current with industry best practices, electrical codes, and safety regulations through ongoing learning. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Minimum 5 years experience in electrical installation and service work. Valid state electrician's license (Journeyman or Master, as required). Demonstrated knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local/state installation codes. Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills. Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities. Proven leadership experience with the ability to guide and mentor a team. Clean and safe driving record. Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a variety of physical environments, including ladders and confined spaces. Preferred Qualifications Associate's or technical degree in electrical or related field. Certification in advanced electrical systems (e.g., lighting controls, automation, renewable energy systems). Experience with HVAC systems and controls is a plus. Previous leadership or team lead/supervisory role. Proficiency in relevant software for documentation and communication (e.g., MS Office, service management apps).
