Job Description

Job Title:
Foreman Job Description This role oversees the wiring, assembly, and installation of electrical panels and motors based on technical prints and schematics. The foreman leads hands-on field work at customer facilities throughout central Kentucky, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient completion of electrical installations while providing technical guidance to the team.
MUST BE ABLE TO BEND CONDUIT
(EMT) Responsibilities Wire and build electrical panels and motors from technical prints, blueprints, and schematics. Install electrical panels and motors at customer facilities across central Kentucky. Interpret and work from electrical drawings, including blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics. Pull and route electrical wire in accordance with project specifications and electrical standards. Perform conduit bending and installation to support wiring and equipment layouts. Use PLC knowledge to read and understand ladder logic for system operation and troubleshooting. Assist with PLC-related tasks, including basic programming or troubleshooting when qualified. Ensure all electrical work meets applicable codes, safety standards, and best practices. Inspect completed installations to verify proper operation, quality, and compliance with project requirements. Coordinate daily tasks, provide direction in the field, and support efficient workflow on job sites. Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding project status and technical issues. Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in clean, safe, and working condition. Essential Skills Proven ability to wire and build electrical panels and motors from prints, blueprints, and schematics. Hands-on experience installing electrical panels and motors in industrial or commercial environments. Strong skills in reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics. Proficiency in pulling wire and routing conductors according to plans and code requirements. Demonstrated ability to bend and install conduit accurately and efficiently. Solid understanding of electrical systems and components, including low-voltage applications. Basic PLC knowledge, including the ability to read ladder logic. Journeyman-level electrical experience and a valid journeyman license. Ability to work safely and adhere to electrical codes and safety procedures. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience programming or troubleshooting PLCs is preferred. Background in electronics or low-voltage electrical work is beneficial. Field installation experience in customer facilities or industrial settings. Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues in panels, motors, and control systems. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in the field. Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and team members. Organizational skills to manage tasks, tools, and documentation on multiple job sites. Why Work Here? Work Environment This is a field-based role that involves traveling to customer facilities throughout central Kentucky to perform installations and electrical work. The work takes place in industrial and commercial environments where you will regularly handle electrical panels, motors, conduit, and wiring. You will use standard electrical tools and equipment, including conduit benders, testers, and devices for working with low-voltage and control systems. Work hours generally follow a full-time schedule, with time spent both in the shop assembling equipment and on-site completing installations. The environment requires adherence to safety protocols and appropriate work attire suitable for electrical and industrial job sites, including the use of personal protective equipment as needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Frankfort, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $30.00/hr.
