Hiring Agency Justice & Public Safety Cabinet | Department of Corrections Location 505 Prison Connector Sandy Hook, KY 41171 USA Description The Kentucky Department of Corrections (DOC), Division of Adult Institutions operates 12 correctional facilities that house Kentucky's adult inmate population. The mission of DOC is to protect the citizens of the Commonwealth and to provide a safe, secure and humane environment for staff and offenders in carrying out the mandates of the legislative and judicial processes; and, to provide opportunities for offenders to acquire skills which facilitate noncriminal behavior. If you are looking for an advancement opportunity within the Department of Corrections, then we may have an opportunity for you as an Electrician Licensed Supervisor. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Supervises the work of electricians and trainees involved in the installation and repair of electrical systems, appliances and motors. Inspects electrical wiring and fixtures for defects according to the electrical code. Checks for violations of current electrical code and reports to proper authorities. Determines proper material and equipment for use by subordinates. Diagnoses problems with electrical systems. Installs and repairs electrical systems, appliances and motors. Runs conduits for telephones and electric circuits. Installs and services public address systems. Keeps records of electrical projects, work time records, etc. Checks and makes minor repairs to generators. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum RequirementsEDUCATION
