Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and local electrical codes, including NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new construction and renovations to ongoing maintenance of complex electrical systems. Your proactive approach and technical proficiency will contribute to the safe and efficient operation of our facilities. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments, ensuring adherence to all safety procedures and local codes. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and schematics to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and work with low-voltage systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation. Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify faults and resolve electrical issues efficiently. Conduct routine inspections of electrical infrastructure, perform preventive maintenance, and document all work performed in detailed reports. Follow strict electrical safety procedures during all phases of installation and repair work to prevent accidents or hazards. Collaborate with construction teams during renovation or new build projects to ensure electrical systems are installed correctly according to blueprints and schematics. Qualifications Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems. Demonstrated knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) compliance standards for safe electrical practices. Experience reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and blueprints reading skills essential for accurate installation and troubleshooting. Skilled in high-voltage wiring, low-voltage systems, electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting electrical systems, and working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment required for effective electrical work. Construction site experience preferred; familiarity with renovation projects is a plus. Ability to interpret local electrical codes and adhere strictly to safety procedures at all times. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently. Additional handyman or frame carpentry experience is advantageous for versatile project support.
