About the
Role:
Skillforce is seeking Electrician-Journeyman level for a project in Annapolis, MD. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other tradespeople to interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications to execute electrical work to code and company standards. This role demands a high level of technical skill, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols to prevent hazards and ensure uninterrupted service. Ultimately, your work will support the organization's mission by maintaining electrical systems that enable smooth and sustainable operations within the waste management and remediation environment.
Pay:
$35-36 per hour
Minimum Qualifications:
Journeyman license (preferred but not required) Completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent experience. Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes. Proven experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair in commercial or industrial settings. Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and practices.
Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with relevant codes and safety standards. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan electrical installations and troubleshoot issues. Conduct inspections and testing of electrical systems to identify hazards, defects, and the need for preventive maintenance. Collaborate with project teams to coordinate electrical work with other trades and ensure timely project completion. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies while performing electrical tasks. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job. Respond promptly to emergency electrical service calls and provide effective solutions to restore service. Train and mentor apprentices or less experienced electricians as needed.
