Job Description
PCM Services is a commercial contractor in Beltsville, MD, which performs work across the DC/Baltimore metro areas and is seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician/Journeyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and efficiency of electrical systems across various projects. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Inspect electrical systems, components, and parts to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustments or repairs. Interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings to complete installations and repairs. Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functionality and adherence to safety standards. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems using appropriate tools and equipment. Follow local and national electrical codes and regulations to ensure compliance. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and team members to meet project deadlines. Maintain an organized workspace and adhere to company safety policies and procedures. Qualifications Valid Journeyman license (Required) 2+ years of experience in electrical installations, maintenance, and repair. High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus. Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC). Ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
