Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various projects. Your expertise will ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with all relevant electrical codes and standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, renovation projects, and industrial facilities, utilizing your comprehensive electrical knowledge to deliver top-quality results. Duties Install, wire, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and renovation settings using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics to accurately execute projects. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems to automate and control complex machinery and processes. Conduct inspections with ohmmeters and other testing devices to ensure proper electrical function and safety compliance. Work on construction sites performing framing carpentry tasks as needed to support electrical installations. Follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards diligently while ensuring all work meets high-voltage and low-voltage safety requirements. Collaborate with team members on schematics reading, troubleshooting electrical issues, and completing renovation or construction projects efficiently. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols at all times; communicate effectively with supervisors regarding project progress or concerns. Qualifications Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification demonstrating comprehensive electrical training. Proven industrial electrician experience with a focus on automation systems involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Commercial electrician experience preferred, with strong knowledge of NEC standards for high voltage and low voltage systems. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and construction site procedures. Familiarity with renovation projects involving framing carpentry or handyman tasks is advantageous. Ability to read technical schematics and blueprints accurately; experience with schematics related to industrial or commercial systems required. Strong understanding of electrical safety practices including working with high voltage systems; adherence to OSHA regulations essential. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently on-site using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Construction site experience demonstrating adaptability in fast-paced environments; capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
