Experienced Commercial Electrician Job Description Join a growing electrical team in Salisbury, Maryland as an experienced commercial electrician responsible for installing conduit, running wire, and leading apprentices and mechanics on active job sites. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical work for commercial projects, with a focus on amenity spaces and rooms. Responsibilities Install 4-foot EMT conduit in commercial environments according to project specifications and electrical codes. Accurately bend conduit to required angles and measurements using appropriate tools and techniques. Pull and run wire through conduit and raceways, ensuring clean, organized, and code-compliant installations. Lead and mentor apprentices and mechanics on site, providing direction, training, and quality oversight for work performed in amenity spaces and rooms. Coordinate daily tasks with the on-site team to ensure timely completion of assigned electrical work. Maintain a safe and organized work area, following all site safety procedures and guidelines. Read and interpret basic electrical instructions and layout guidance as required for conduit and wire runs. Inspect completed work to verify it meets quality standards and complies with applicable electrical codes. Essential Skills 6+ years of commercial electrical experience, including hands-on work in active commercial projects. Proficiency installing EMT conduit, specifically 4-foot sections, in commercial settings. Demonstrated ability to bend conduit accurately using hand and power tools. Strong experience pulling and running wire in commercial environments. Experience as a master or journeyman electrician, or equivalent commercial electrical experience. Ability to lead and oversee apprentices and mechanics on site, providing clear instructions and guidance. Solid understanding of commercial electrical practices and standards. Commitment to working safely and following site safety procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Any additional commercial electrical experience beyond the minimum requirement is a plus. Experience working on amenity spaces and rooms in commercial or institutional facilities is beneficial. Previous leadership or crew lead experience in a commercial electrical setting is advantageous. Expect a typical commercial construction setting that may include standing, bending, and working in various indoor areas of the facility. Standard commercial construction work hours apply, with work performed in coordination with the on-site project team. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Federalsburg, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $56.99 - $56.99/hr.
