Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains all mechanical, electrical and cosmetic equipment and/or items throughout the facility. Assists other engineers and mechanics with repairs; handles day-to-day electrical operations. Routinely inspects all electrical equipment, identifying potential problems and/or safety hazards, and repairing same, as needed. Takes readings on all electrical equipment. Wires electrical equipment for convention exhibits and special events. Coordinates and installs all new electrical equipment and/or wiring. Maintains all logs necessary for conformance with established standards. Responds to maintenance requests and in-house calls. Maintains pool facilities as assigned. Monitors own work load and advises supervisor of work overload. Maintains a neat, clean, and organized work area in the engineering shop. Prepares daily work forms. Maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all rules, regulations and controls. Adheres to safety policies and procedures and OSHA regulations. All other duties as assigned.REPORTING LINE
You will report directly to the Director of Facilities.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times. The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner. The ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations Proven experience providing high level of guest service The ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide The ability to read, write, comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English The availability to work all shifts. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stressful situations. Must be at least 18 years old. Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company. The ability to verify the right to work in the United States.EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical and air conditioning maintenance. Must have at least 5 years' experience with a significant combination of vocational education, apprentice training, or on-the-job training preferred. AppropriateELECTRICIAN
Certification required. Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record. This position requires a Non-Gaming License.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the property for prolonged periods of time. Ability to push, pull, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crawl, twist, sit, climb, balance, carry and lift to 50 lbs. Constant use of hearing, speech, vision (including distinguishing between shades of color), radios, and tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity. The employee is regularly required to climb a twelve (12) foot ladder.WORK ENVIRONMENT
Will be exposed to working in a noisy environment and seasonal elements. The employee is regularly exposed to risk of electrical shock and danger of exposure to various chemicals used in the maintenance of the property.
