Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detailed-oriented Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential and commercial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety practices, as well as the ability to read blueprints and work effectively on construction sites.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None Duties/Responsibilities:

Installs and repairs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in residential & commercial buildings. Installs conduits to house electrical wires and cables. Ensures conduit and circuitry installation complies with electrical codes. Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and can complete wiring terminations. Able to do electrical service work and work long side utility companies. Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation. Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed. Able to troubleshoot faulty circuitry and make repairs in a timely manner. Replaces conduit and wiring as needed. Replaces circuit breakers as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned \ open to continued growth and learning.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Punctual and arrives to jobs on time. Ability to read blueprints. Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring. Ability to use hand tools and power tools. Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Understands NEC and can apply requirements in home systems.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Journeyman license or greater required. 3 - 5 years residential electrical experience.

Work Environment:

Work can take place inside and outside in various temperatures and weather conditions. Must be able to work in weather conditions and temperatures consistent with both outside and inside (hot, cold, wet, dry, quiet, noisy, windy). Must be comfortable working in different environments. Ability to travel to various residential project sites. Must be willing to work late a few days during the week, if needed.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring. Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding. Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. Ability to navigate an attic space in a safe manner.

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 45.0 per week
