Job DescriptionJob Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our production team in Millington, MD. This individual will be responsible for installing electrical systems and components into custom-built metal equipment centers, ensuring all work meets engineering specifications, safety requirements, and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards. This is a hands-on role requiring strong troubleshooting skills, electrical installation experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Install switchgear and electrical components into custom-built metal equipment centers.Plan layouts and install wiring, electrical fixtures, and control equipment, including switches, relays, and circuit breakers.
Run conduit and install cable trays.
Read, interpret, and work based on electrical drawings, schematics, and engineered designs.
Troubleshoot, repair, test, and verify electrical systems and components.
Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete installations.
Ensure all work complies with NEC codes, customer specifications, and company quality standards.
Operate forklifts and material handling equipment as needed.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment.

High school diploma or GED.Minimum 18 months of experience in the electrical field or as an Electrical Helper preferred.Experience installing electrical systems, wiring, switchgear, and control equipment.
Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, tape measures, grinders, and saws.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, reach, and climb ladders throughout the workday.Frequent use of hands and fingers for tool operation, fine motor tasks, and repetitive work.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working in manufacturing conditions, including high noise levels, dust, heat, cold, confined spaces, heights, and around moving machinery.
Strong coordination, vision, communication skills, and attention to detail to safely perform tasks and operate equipment.
