The Foreman position works effectively with a Service Manager to deliver maintenance services assigned. This position is also a working position, utilizing their skillset to conduct task where appropriate. The Foreman's title may be specific to their trade and titled as such (Foreman (Mechanic), Foreman (Yard), Foreman (Painter), Foreman (Carpentry), Foreman (Rigger) etc.) Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the work of Technicians and Yard HandsWork effectively with Service Manager to determine maintenance needs and schedule service workProvide clear and precise instructions on the work order for techniciansUtilize skillset to conduct tasks where appropriateEnsure projects are completed accurately and efficientlySets and meets ongoing company goalsMust possess own toolsAvailability to work overtime in order to meet deadlinesOther duties as assigned by Manager Technical and Physical Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred5 years' experience preferredABYC and/or manufacturer certifications preferredAbility to ascend and descend a ladderMust carry own toolsAbility to work in confined spacesAbility to lift 50 poundsBasic boat handling skillsExperience with both gas and diesel enginesKnowledge of recreational marine systems such as electronics, electrical, marine heads, plumbing, steering, stabilizers and hydraulics as well as generatorsAvailable to work overtime when required to meet deadlinesAny skills considered standard that a Foreman should possess Safety and Environmental Responsibilities Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related trainingWear proper personal protective equipment (may include safety glasses, gloves, life jackets and/or hard hats) as required for the task or work areaReport all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately Minimum Soft Skills Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skillsPositive attitude and willingness to learnAbility to provide exceptional customer service and an understanding of customers' needsExcellent interpersonal and collaborative skills while working both independently and within a team contextOrganizational skills are a mustDemonstrates ability to prioritize and work unsupervisedExhibits leadership skillsExcellent project management skillsEager to engage in a growing, fast paced, and industry-leading company Safe Harbor Marinas provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applications for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
