The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical systems and be proficient in working with various tools and equipment. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems. The Journeyperson Electrician will play a crucial role in ensuring that all electrical work is completed safely and efficiently, adhering to local codes and regulations. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems. Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment. Utilize hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, and ohmmeters to perform electrical tasks effectively. Troubleshoot electrical issues and conduct necessary repairs or replacements. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes during all work performed. Collaborate with other tradespeople on job sites to ensure timely project completion. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Requirements Valid Journeyperson Electrician license. Proven experience as a commercial electrician with a strong understanding of high voltage systems. Proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints related to electrical installations. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in the electrical trade. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the job site. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Generator installation experience is a plus.
