Department Lead Job Purpose This position interconnects wired electrical panels to the environmental test chamber through following electrical schematics/blueprints/mechanical engineering drawings. The position also wires the components to the power panel. Duties and Responsibilities Entry Level I Cuts different gauge wires in pre-determined lengths Cuts interconnect in pre-determined lengths Checks in parts received from stockroom against pick list to verify part numbers and quantities Drills out J-Boxes Level II Level I functions Reads and understands blue prints/specs/electrical schematics Reads and understands parts list Reads and understands cut list Wires switches Lays out J-Boxes and wire panels Level III Level I and II functions Lays out location of J-Boxes Lays out and wires a job per engineering drawings Level IV Level I, II, and III functions Performs 110V Job continuity test Performs point to point verification Quality checks a job Department Lead Coordinates level I, II, III, and IV employees Qualifications Possession of High School Diploma or GED required
Preferred:
industrial/commercial electrical experience Comprehension of blueprints, specs, and electrical schematics Experience with junction boxes, electrical conduit, and wiring Good math skills Accurately read a tape measure and wire gauge Experience using power tools including drill, grinder, cutoff wheel Ability to obtain the necessary tools for this position: tape measure, screwdriver, channel locks, wire strippers, hammer, nut drivers, crimpers
