Journeyman/Electrician (3rd Shift) Monday-Friday, 11p-7a Night Shift
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Installs, maintains, repairs and/or troubleshoots electrical systems in compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC). Performs installation according to planned layout of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes. Installs conduit systems, lighting systems, basic control systems, motor feeders and makes standard motor connections. Connects wires to circuit breakers, transformers or other components. Inspects electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair. Tests electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters, to ensure compatibility and safety of system. Consistently follows workplace safety procedures and participates in safety audits and related safety functions. Immediately identifies, corrects and/or reports any unsafe acts, conditions or incidents. Understands the responsibility for health and safety in the workplace. Cooperates with regulatory inspectors. Wears the appropriate personal protective equipment. Follows all safety rules. Will not remove or make ineffective any protective device such as a guard, light curtain, etc. Will not use or operate any machine or equipment that the employee is not trained to operate. Will not use or operate any machine or equipment in a manner that may endanger any employee, including themselves.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Journeyman's certification required 6+ years of industrial or commercial electrical experience Familiarity with current National Electric Code (NEC) Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, PLCs and PCs.
