Day Shift Description:
Position Purpose:
Maintains, installs, and repairs electrical equipment, and provides for the reliable and safe operation of the hospital electrical distribution system and emergency power generators.
Hours:
Full time, variable shifts, 40 hour per pay period
Shift:
Day Shift What You'll Do
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical and low-voltage systems Review blueprints and ensure work meets design and safety standards Manage permits, inspections, and documentation for projects and repairs Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment Troubleshoot and repair generators, transfer switches, and distribution systems Diagnose issues using electrical, mechanical, and related systems knowledge Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure quality work Track work orders and maintenance activities accurately Order parts and maintain inventory as needed Support a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors Collaborate with team members and contribute to process improvements Minimum qualifications: • Michigan Master Electrician License (required) • High school diploma or equivalent (associate's or bachelor's preferred) • 3+ years of electrician experience in a healthcare setting • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, emergency power, and codes • Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics • Skilled with tools, testing equipment, and documentation
