Job Summary:

An electrical apprentice will assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in various environments. Under the supervision of experienced electrician(s), the apprentice will gain hands-on experience, develop diagnostic skills, and help ensure that all work is performed in compliance with relevant code standards. This role is ideal for those looking to build a rewarding career in the electrical industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Demonstrate strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills; show a mechanical aptitude for hands-on work. Produce neat, clean, and thorough work, maintaining high standards in all tasks. Work efficiently, quickly, and with excellent organizational skills to meet project timelines. Follow all safety protocols on job sites and while driving, always prioritizing safety for yourself and the team. Provide exceptional customer service to clients by addressing their needs, concerns, and expectations professionally. Collaborate effectively with team members, taking direction well and support team efforts to complete projects on time. Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards set by the company. Assist journeyman and master electricians with installing, repairing, and maintain electrical systems. Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to assist in accurate electrical system installations. Install, repair, and maintain wiring, lighting, and control systems in residential or commercial settings. Develop troubleshooting skills to diagnose electrical issues using appropriate testing devices and procedures. Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and regulations in every task performed. Maintain and organize tools, materials, and equipment on the job site to promote a safe and efficient workspace. Actively participate in on-the-job training and classes to build technical skills and industry knowledge. Demonstrate initiative and adaptability, performing additional duties as assigned to support the team.

Show Others That You Care Minimum Qualifications:

2+ years experience as a registered electrical apprentice preferred Ability to pass initial and random drug screenings Ability to pass a comprehensive national background check Valid driver's license with insurability by Vredevoogd's insurance carrier Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong dedication to delivering exceptional customer service High school diploma or GED equivalent Basic knowledge of electrical systems and tools is a plus Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new tasks and challenges Strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment Consistent work ethic, punctuality, and a proactive, positive attitude

Pay:

$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
