An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment. Diagnose equipment problems and determine necessary repairs. Repair and replace mechanical and/or electrical components as needed. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and equipment manuals. Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime. Complete scheduled preventative maintenance. Follow all plant safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO). Maintain a clean and safe work area. Document completed maintenance and repair work. Work with production and other maintenance team members as needed. Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned. Requirements Previous experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to safely work around industrial machinery and production equipment. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation. Willingness to work in a UAW/union manufacturing environment . High school diploma or GED. Ability to work required shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed. Preferred Experience Automotive or high-volume manufacturing experience. Experience with industrial maintenance and production equipment. Experience troubleshooting mechanical and/or electrical systems. Previous experience working in a union facility.
