JOB DESCRIPTION
Hercules - Maintenance position Position Summary Perform maintenance work that includes electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical repairs and installation. The job also requires other routine activities such as assuring proper lubrication, cleanliness and filtration of equipment. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of plant equipment to ensure that it is in capable working order. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance tasks. Enter breakdown/downtime data into computerized software. Perform various types of welding and fabrication (desired for this position but not critical) Repair, replace or install new electrical circuits and controls to equipment. Repair and replace switches, sensors, photo eyes, pushbuttons and starters Work from electrical blueprints, machine drawings and part drawings Troubleshoot malfunctioning electrical systems, fuses, resistors, capacitors, servo drives, transistor modules Install and maintain motors, drives, integrated circuits and PLCs Dismantle devices and equipment to gain access and remove defective parts using hoists, power tools and cranes Perform repair or replace hydraulic pumps, electrical motors, gearboxes, servo drives/motors, etc. Authorities Stop any process or equipment that is deemed as a potential danger to any employee Stop any process or equipment that is deemed as having an equipment malfunction
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Journeyman status Prior Plant or Manufacturing Experience Education - High school diploma. College degree/Trade school/certifications are a plus. Minimum years 5 years maintenance experience Able to read machine drawings and part blueprints Must be disciplined, teachable, and one who respects others. Must work well within the construction of a team and consensus building environment. Physical requirements and working conditions
Physical Demands:
Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs., bend, lift, climb, stoop, stretch, stand. Ability to work in an environment where one is exposed to heat, cold, dust, noise, humidity, fumes, etc. Need to be able to work overtime or any shift, including weekends, to meet company commitments/goals
