Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various facilities. Your expertise will ensure the safety, efficiency, and reliability of electrical infrastructure, supporting our operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, including renovation and construction sites, utilizing your comprehensive electrical knowledge and hands-on skills to keep our operations running smoothly. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprints. Maintain low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support automation processes. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately perform electrical work. Conduct routine inspections of electrical equipment on construction sites and facilities to identify potential issues before they escalate. Use testing instruments such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical faults effectively. Perform renovation projects involving electrical upgrades or modifications within commercial or industrial environments. Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and regulations, including NEC guidelines for electrical installations. Collaborate with construction teams on site to support framing carpentry, handyman tasks, or other related activities as needed. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for future reference. Experience Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong background in electrical systems maintenance and repair. Hands-on experience working on construction sites or renovation projects involving electrical installations. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical diagrams is essential. Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage systems along with relevant safety standards such as NEC regulations. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) in industrial automation settings is highly desirable. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting purposes. Previous handyman or frame carpentry experience is a plus for supporting diverse maintenance tasks. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high safety standards.
